MY TESTIMONY

It's always strange to be working on my site because, to be honest, it's hard to imagine that anybody even reads it. Anyway, I have to assume that someone will happen along some of these pages, so that's why I do what I do here. On to the point of this page . . .
From a Christian perspective, a testimony is the story of how an individual has come to faith in Jesus Christ as their savior (and all that goes along with it). As you can imagine, there are as many ways to Jesus as there are believers in Him.
Regarding MY "testimony:" I have thought much about it, and even got half way into writing it all out (from my childhood), but all along I have felt strange about writing it. It always seemed too self-important, or that it implied that the path my life has gone is "the" way to go. I can assure you that there are smoother paths to Jesus, but mine was what it was (and is what it is) so that's that. The conclusion that I have come to (inspired by reading "Fearless Faith" by John Fischer) is that I am not going to put my testimony up here. It is a personal thing that is best related in a personal setting. I am happy to share my testimony with anybody who asks. Just make sure you have an hour or two, and preferably we meet someplace where coffee is served!
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts,
and always be ready to give a defense to everyone
who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you..."
(1 Peter 3:15)
